Dhauladhar ranges forms up the Epic Hill Resort of Dharamshala.  This is the primary place in district Kangra, and it spreads all over the plains of Kangra. Dharamshala is surrounded by Devdar and Pine forests, and number of rivers. Fresh air and localities, composed of snow; this place is a perfect destination for spending your holidays. It is full of people but again, a peaceful station. This is the station of Dalai Lama. Dharamshala is formed by 2 settlements, namely lower Dharamshala, which is at an altitude of 1,380 metres, is full of life. The upper Dharmshala, which is at an altitude of 1,830 metres, makes up the calm place of Dharamshala. British standards and their colonial architecture, can be seen, at this place. There is a church in Dharamshala, St John, is situated here. A very large number of Tibetan people, also live here. Various old temples like Brijeshwari, Jawalamukhi and Chamunda are also located on the plains of Dharamshala.

The climate even drops to freezing point in winters, where woolen clothes are required; whereas during summers, the climate is pleasant. The Cotton stuff is required in summers.

There are various places for tourists in Dharamshala. Different places in Dharamshala offers, you with best sightseeing. Temples, monasteries, museums, churches and old town makes up the place look wonderful. Kangra Art Museum, Dharamshala; arts and crafts, artifacts, that date back to history. These things are from 5th century, these include photo collection of famous paintings and pottery, pictures and other old items. Various dresses of that period can also be seen here.
